Based in Illasi, Dal Forno Romano is a relatively new wine producer established in 1983. The estate encompasses a modest eight hectares of vineyards with low yields, characterized by gravelly clay soils and planted with grape varieties such as Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina, and Oseleta. This 2001 Valpolicella Superiore has aged very nicely, offering notes of black cherries, blackberries, tobacco, grilled herbs, and integrated toast oak.
