Tatoosh distillery was opened in Seattle in 2009 and founded by Troy Turner and Mark Simon. Ingredients are all sourced locally in the Pacific Northwest and the mashbill is a 70/15/15 blend of corn, rye and malted barley. The nose is dried fruit, vanilla custard and freshly crushed barley while the palate is light with notes of milk chocolate, oak shavings and a touch of caramel. This is a mellow, easy-going whiskey.
