Nacional is a Vintage Port produced only in selected years from a small area at the heart of the Quinta do Noval vineyard planted with ungrafted vines and untouched by phylloxera. 1999 was another vintage that was not generally declared by other houses, yet Nacional often does not conform to vintage trends and can be of profound quality even if Noval does not produce a Quinta do Noval Vintage. This release was awarded a highly prized 20/20 by Jancis Robinson.
