Poeira is a red wine produced in the Douro Valley by winemaker Jorge Moreira, who is well-regarded in the Portuguese wine industry. After working at several prestigious wineries in Portugal, including Quinta de la Rosa and Real Companhia Velha, Jorge decided to create his own project, which he named Poeira [meaning ‘dust’ in Portuguese] as a reference to the dry, schist soils of the Douro region. The 2018 vintage is a blend composed of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Sousão and Tinta Barroca. Expect notes of red and black fruits wrapped in fresh spices, dark chocolate and light toast.
