Domaine Bernard-Bonin is a relatively small Burgundy estate run by husband-and-wife team Nicolas Bernard and Véronique Bonin. Nicolas is the great-grandson of François Mikulski, another well-respected winemaker in the region. The lieu-dit Clos du Cromin was planted to red grapes until 1971, when the Bonin family replanted the site to Chardonnay. This particular release comes from the excellent 2015 vintage. The warm conditions yielded voluptuous whites characterized by density and structure, showcasing bold flavours of ripe orchard fruit, citrus, and a distinctive mineral freshness.
