Situated in the north-east of Scotland, Longmorn is a historical distillery founded in 1893 by John Duff, Charles Shirres and George Thomson. Now owned by the French Pernod Ricard Group, Longmorn has long been a favourite of the critics, but until recently was a very well-kept secret. The limited-edition 23-year-old expression forms part of ‘The Secret Speyside Collection’ and it has been matured in American oak hogsheads and barrels. Expect notes of orchard fruit, lemon sorbet and a dash of crystallised ginger.
