Based in the village of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is undoubtedly the most prestigious wine producer in Burgundy. The iconic estate is co-owned by the de Villaine and Leroy families and produces only grand cru wines, such as this Grands-Echézeaux, made from a 3.53-hectare parcel. The 2003 vintage offers concentrated, sweet red fruit, a zesty acidity and slightly earthy finish, with just a hint of chocolate. Drinking well now.
