Gevrey Chambertin Domaine Fourrier 2011

Founded in the 1850s, Domaine Fourrier is a prestigious wine producer based in Gevrey-Chambertin, in the Côte de Nuits. The estate is currently led by Jean-Marie Fourrier, the fifth-generation owner who took over the 10-hectare property from his father in the mid-1990s at the tender age of 23. This village-level Gevrey-Chambertin is produced from low-yielding old vines. The nose combines drying dark and red fruit, complemented by warm spices and a mineral earthiness. Its palate exudes freshness, with a somewhat intense character and an abundance of fruits, elevated by lively acidity. Well-incorporated tannins contribute to its structure.
