The 2019 release of George T. Stagg was aged for 15 years and 4 months in new American oak and bottled at 116.9 US proof. Another fantastic bottling that shares the same DNA as previous GTS releases - a big nose of sweet spice, chocolate and caramel precedes notes of vanilla and cinnamon bark on the palate. The finish is sweet and nutty initially before notes of aged leather, polished oak and a touch of peppery spice.
