Darroze Château de Gaube 1959 is a mature-vintage Armagnac bottled by Armagnacs Darroze in Roquefort, France. This collectible 1959 bottling displays an abundance of woody and rancio aromas and flavours as a result of the spirit`s extensive maturation in barrel, balanced with mellow notes of dried apricot, prune and spices. "Bouquet begins with tart scents of tropical fruit and green apple; aeration stimulates an odd perfume, almost medicinal but pleasantly fruity. By midpalate, the flavour settles down and offers lean, bittersweet and mesmerizing tastes of old oak, vanilla, coffee bean, tree sap, butterscotch, honey and even a fleeting moment of rancio.
