Chateauneuf du Pape Pure Barroche 600cl 2015

Domaine la Barroche are one of the preeminent producers in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Pure is a cuvée produced from almost entirely Grenache from a tiny parcel of classically sandy soils. Vinified in concrete and old wooden foudre it has wonderful purity of aroma and flavour, boasting vibrant red cherry and black raspberry fruit, with more subtle nuances of crushed stones, wild herbs, tea leaves and lavender. Full-bodied, rich and sensual on the palate, it wears its weight astonishingly well, finishing with captivating freshness and finesse. This would be the perfect pairing to roasted game or fowl.
