Château de la Gardine Châteauneuf-du-Pape 1998 is a full-bodied red wine from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation of the southern Rhône Valley. Recognisable for its distinctive bottles, Château de la Gardine has a history of winegrowing dating back to the 17th century. The estate is now run by Patrick and Maxime Brunel and covers 52 hectares of vineyards spread across the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Producer note. "The Châteauneuf du pape white and red 1998 is a great vintage. It presented in red a lot of matter and colour, intense and dark dresses and a rich and powerful palate, warm, with aromas of over-ripeness and a tannic structure cut for the guard with a final nevertheless quite fresh. Particularly interesting on their evolution, they keep their promises with a mouth of velvet suave, whose round and melted tannins support all the nuances of the aromatic richness."
