Displaying a refined garnet hue of moderate intensity, the 2017 Brunello di Montalcino from Sesti showcases a seductive aromatic profile. Dried cherry, blackcurrant, spice, tar, and camphor ash mingle harmoniously, amplified intentionally to accentuate their presence in this particularly warm vintage, which fostered heightened sugar and tannin accumulation within the berries. Sangiovese, with its inherent elevated acidity, steps forward to counterbalance and delicately disperse some of the wine`s potency. Only 12,800 bottles were produced.
