Brora 40 Year Old Prima & Ultima Second Release is an age-statement Highland single malt whisky produced at the Brora Distillery in Sutherland, Scotland, and bottled as part of Diageo`s Prima & Ultima series. This exceptionally rare Brora 40-year-old malt represents the last of the 1980 casks from the iconic Brora. Distilled during the golden age of peated Brora single malt, this whisky rested for four decades in American oak casks for 40 years before being bottled. Producer note. "This relaxed superstar has a lightly drying aroma, with mineral and maritime top notes backed by soft notes of almond oil and light smoke. The texture is smoothly waxy and the rounded taste is sweet and smoky, with an enticing bittersweet note of burnt caramel and a sprinkle of salt."
