Château Branaire-Ducru is a Fourth Growth wine producer based in Saint-Julien, owned by the influential Maroteaux since 1988. The 2019 vintage of its grand vin is a blend composed of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, all aged in 60% new oak. Crunchy black fruit character on the nose and palate, with spiced, nutty, sous bois nuances. A beautifully made wine, available here in a magnum bottle.
