Aloxe Corton Clos du Chapitre Domaine du Chapitre 1969

Clos du Chapître is a petite Premier Cru vineyard located in the Côte d`Or, encompassing 1.9 hectares of Pinot Noir vines. Positioned adjacent to the residences just to the south of Aloxe-Corton village, it is indicated as ‘Les Meix’ on the cadastral map. This particular bottle hails from the 1969 vintage, and it is a real gem. The 1969 reds were not particularly alluring at first, often exhibiting a reserved character hidden behind their tannins. Now, having reached full maturity, this vintage is worth keeping an eye on.
