2017 was widely regarded as a stunning vintage in South Australia and this is yet another superb release of The Steading from Barossa heavyweight, Torbreck. A wine they classify as the “heart and soul” of Torbreck, it is a magnificent blend of 52% Grenache, 25% Shiraz and 23% Mataro, sourced from vines ranging from 40- to 150-years-old. This is a wonderful release of aromatic complexity, purity and mid-palate concentration, ideal for drinking now or cellaring further.
