Rhys Skyline Vineyard Syrah 2011

75 cl
£111.00
Founded in 2004, Rhys Vineyards has very rapidly become a benchmark producer of compelling terroir driven wines from sustainably farmed vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The Skyline Vineyard is one of the highest in California, sitting at 2360ft above sea level. The combination of altitude, coastal proximity, high-density planting and extremely rocky soils creates wines of exuberant exotic richness but intense minerality. This is cool-climate Californian Syrah at its best with delicious notes of bramble fruit, wood smoke, wild herbs and cracked black pepper. Medium-bodied, lithe and seductively smooth, this is superbly well-balanced and is bang in its drinking window.
