Nino Negri is one of the largest and most renowned wine estates in the Valtellina region of Lombardy. Specializing in wines primarily crafted from Chiavennasca – the local name for Nebbiolo – the winery was established in 1897. It covers approximately 31 hectares of vineyards in the Valtellina Superiore DOCG zones, including Grumello, Inferno, Valgella, and Sasella, where this release comes from. 1957 was an exceptional vintage for Italy, and the top red wines from that year continue to showcase remarkable drinkability today.
