Established sixty years ago and still family-owned, Heitz Cellar has been a cornerstone of the progressive Napa Valley wine scene since the early 1960s. Renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon, especially the iconic Martha`s Vineyard label, Heitz maintains an exclusive agreement with the owners of the 14-hectare vineyard in Oakville AVA, a partnership that began with the inaugural fruit purchase in 1965. While the 1970 vintage in California exhibited flashes of brilliance, the wine industry as a whole was still in its early stages of development.
