D`Esclans Deesse Blanc 2012

75 cl
£47.40
Chateau d’Esclans is located on an exceptional site, on elevated land near the Gorges de Pennafort, 25km northwest of the ancient Roman city of Frejus on the Mediterranean coast. Though most renowned for his rosé, winemaker Sacha Lichine also makes a wonderful Côtes de Provence white called Déesse Astrèe Blanc. It is a barrel-fermented white made from 100% Rolle, or Vermentino. It is rich and rounded, but vibrant and fresh, with notes of ripe white stone fruits, zesty citrus, honey, anise and wild herbs.
