Founded by Daniel Dugois in 1973, the domaine is situated 5km from Arbois in the Jura. Made from hand-harvested 100% Savagnin, the signature variety of the Jura, in the traditional Vin Jaune style. Comparable to a Fino Sherry style, the Savagnin grapes have been aged under a thin `veil` of yeast in oak barrels for 6 years, resulting in a wonderfully nutty and complex wine, with dried fruit character, ginger notes and a lingering, rich finish. Pairs well with curry dishes, smoked haddock and white meats in cream sauces.
