Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee da Capo Pegau Magnum 2015

150 cl
£788.00
Owned and operated by the tireless Féraud family, Domaine de Pegau is unquestionably one of the leading producers in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Cuvée da Capo is their flagship wine and is only produced in years deemed of exceptional quality, with just seven vintages ever released. It is a traditional assemblage of the 13 permitted varieties all sourced from the supreme Le Crau sub-zone but contains a significant portion of Grenache. The 2015 is a remarkably powerful and intense wine of enormous complexity and depth. Though built for the long haul, the fruit is so plush and tannins so silky that it is wonderfully easy to drink, but the full extent of its underlying complexities will almost certainly only be revealed with significant cellaring.
