Château La Nerthe is a leading producer in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, boasting a winemaking tradition dating back to the 12th Century. The estate`s current renown can be largely attributed to the Richard family, who purchased the property in a dilapidated state in 1985. The `Cuvée des Cadettes` is derived from an old vineyard featuring approximately 80-year-old vines. The vintage of 1990 was particularly outstanding for the Rhône Valley, showcasing rich and powerful wines, with Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, in particular, attaining excellence.
