Lucien Le Moine is a small, independent wine merchant founded by Mounir and Rotem Saouma in 1999. They specialize in sourcing Premier and Grand Cru wines from Burgundy, which they then age in their vaulted cellar in Beaune. There is no winemaking involved as the wines reach them after fermentation. This particular release comes from ‘La Romanée’, a Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru vineyard situated at the southern end of the Côte de Beaune. The wines from this appellation are typically medium-bodied and fruity, with notes of peach, almond, honeysuckle and a mineral edge.
