Domaine William Fèvre is often considered as a benchmark for quality and terroir expression in the region of Chablis. Using fruit from many of the most prestigious vineyards across the appellation, vinification is very traditional with fermentation and maturation on fine lees undertaken in a combination of stainless and seasoned oak (ave. 6 years old).
The 2016 Valmur Grand Cru is charming though still slightly reticent in youth. It is tightly coiled and tensile, with exceptional inner concentration and complexity, indicating that the best will perhaps only be revealed with time.
