Nestled in the heart of Montalcino, Pieve Santa Restituta is a 27-hectare property neighbouring Fossacolle and Case Basse. It was purchased by Angelo Gaja in 1994 – his first foray outside his native Langhe. On the nose, the wine displays scents of lavender followed by crushed stones, blackberries and a hint of sour citrus. The palate has a deep core of primary fruits, accompanied by fine-grained tannins and a touch of minerality. The wine will evolve even further in the cellar.
