Vosne Romanee Les Suchots Hudelot Noellat 2009

Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 2009 is a 1er Cru Burgundy from the hallowed terroir of Vosne-Romanée in the Côte de Nuits. The climat of Les Suchots is the largest in the appellation and separates the Grands Crus of Echézeaux and Romanée-Saint-Vivant. It is considered by many aficionados to be a `superior` 1er Cru. Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat winemaker Charles Van Canneyt, who took over from his grandfather, Alain Hudelot-Noëllat, in 2008, is regarded as one Burgundy`s rising stars and produces very fine Pinot Noirs. "A highly complex and very Vosne nose features mild wood influence along with abundant spice notes on the red currant, plum and black cherry fruit and violet suffused aromas that are very much in keeping with the rich, seductive and velvet-textured flavours that evidence controlled power.
