Volnay Joseph Drouhin 1979

Joseph Drouhin Volnay 1979 is a mature-vintage Burgundy red wine produced in the Volnay commune of the Côte de Beaune. Joseph Drouhin is one of the most respected names in Burgundy. An owner of domaines including Domaine Marquis de Laguiche and the monopole of Clos des Mouches, as well as operating a hugely successful negociant business, the family-owned Drouhin is justly respected for producing such a diverse portfolio of Burgundy wines with such a clear signature of their terroir. Its vineyard holdings in the Côte de Nuits are all managed organically and biodynamically, with wholebunch fermentations and only moderate use of new oak preferred for the domaine Pinot Noirs.
