The Cotat family has been involved in winemaking for generations, and François Cotat`s style is often described as being more reminiscent of older-school Sancerre winemaking. Their top vineyards include Monts Damnés, Les Culs de Beaujeu, Les Caillot and La Grande Côte, where this release comes from. The 2019 is a fantastic Sancerre that manages to be both opulent and lean. Expect notes of ripe stone fruit, citrus, mineral, vanilla and saline accents.
