Peter Michael Clos du Ciel Pinot Noir Magnum 2013

On establishing Peter Michael Winery in 1983, the founding philosophy was to produce Californian wines that were elegant and supremely terroir driven. Clos du Ciel is a tiny-production single vineyard Pinot Noir from the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA notable for producing rich and complex wines with distinctive savoury elements. The 2013 is bold and powerful yet retains its hallmark silkiness and richness. Now entering a more mature phase in its life cycle, its wonderful core of black fruit is now embroidered with deliciously savoury nuances of truffle, clove, violets and graphite.
