Chateau Montelena is one of the oldest and most illustrious Napa estates and undoubtedly helped place California on the fine wine map when it took out one of the top prizes at the 1976 ‘Judgement of Paris’. 1991 was a superb vintage and this is an exceptional release of the Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. It is dense, broad and structured with exuberant notes of cassis, crushed minerals, baking spices, cedar and cigar smoke. One of the legendary releases from this iconic producer.
