Based in the Mount Veeder AVA, Mayacamas Vineyards was established in 1889 and is one of the most iconic Californian wineries of all time. This is in large part due to it featuring its 1971 Cabernet at the famous 1976 ‘Judgement of Paris’ but, in any case, they have garnered worldwide love for the long-lived, traditionally styled wines they produce. The 1970 is absolutely at its peak for drinking now with superb notes of dried dark fruits, cigars, eucalypt, earth and cedar. This is classic, old school Californian Cab.
