Kopke Colheita 1960

Founded in 1638, Kopke is universally recognised as the first Port House in the industry’s history and has an incredible reputation for their range of Colheita Tawny Ports which are made from a single harvest, aged in wood for as long as possible and are only bottled upon commission. The 1960 is a sensational release with a wonderfully elegant and complex nose of dried figs, prunes, nutmeg, cocoa and toasted nuts. On the palate it is silky and unctuous yet displays admirable vigour and freshness. This would pair brilliantly with artisanal dark chocolate, apple tarte tatin or even hard sheep’s milk cheeses.
