Steve Kistler is rightly considered an icon in Californian winemaking and, since 1978, has produced some of the regions finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This is a wonderful example of mature Pinot Noir from the windswept Occidental Vineyard on the northern Sonoma Coast. The 2002 releases from Kistler were highly successful and should be approaching their peak.
