Hermitage Rouge Chave Magnum 2013

150 cl
£561.00
Jean Louis Chave is undoubtedly one of the greatest producers of Hermitage Rouge. As one of the largest landowners in the Hermitage appellation Chave has vines spread across 9 of the finest lieux-dits, with the Rouge being made from 100% Syrah sourced from vines ranging between 50 and 85+ years of age. The 2013 is a broody and tannic but beautifully focussed release. There is ample fruit intensity and ethereal aromatic complexity but it the slightly statuesque structure will require a good amount of cellaring to see it truly emerge.
