Hermitage Blanc Le Chevalier de Sterimberg Jaboulet 2017

Paul Jaboulet Ainé is one of the most highly acclaimed producers of the Northern Rhône and, whilst undoubtedly more famous for their red wines, they also produce white wines of excellent quality. The 2017 Hermitage Blanc Le Chevalier de Sterimbourg is a blend of roughly two-thirds Marsanne and one-third Roussanne, offering up tantalising aromas of tangerine, citrus zest, spices, crushed stones and honeysuckle. On the palate it is satin-textured and richly fruited but has wonderful mineral tension and an energetic pulse of acidity throughout, lending welcome freshness and a long, mouthwatering finish. This is drinking wonderfully already but will happily age for at least a decade.
