Cossart Gordon Bual Half 1962

Cossart Gordon & Co. was established in 1745 and is the oldest company in the Madeira Wine Trade. This is a single harvest Madeira from 1962 made from Bual grapes and aged for 53 years in seasoned American oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system. This is an excellent example of sweet Madeira with a classically intense and complex bouquet of dried fruits, caramelised orange peel, roasted nuts, spices, dark chocolate and noble woods. It is rich and incredibly long on the palate with pinpoint acidity lending welcome vibrancy and freshness. Serve lightly chilled and simply enjoy by itself.
