René Barbier`s Clos Mogador is a wine that has transcended its origins, becoming distinct and spectacular in its own right, beyond the borders of Priorat DOCa. A blend of 44% Grenache, 21% Carignan, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Syrah, the wine is aged for 18 months in new oak before bottling. Dense and intense upon release, this 2009 is now revealing a complexity and elegant usually reserved for mature Bordeaux and fine Burgundy. Decant for an hour and enjoy.
