Domaine de Marcoux covers 17.5 hectares of biodynamically-farmed vineyards, spread over 10 parcels. The sites are planted to classic Rhône varieties such as Grenache, Mouvèdre, Syrah and Cinsaut, with vines averaging 50 years old. The domaine produces two red wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, including the Vieilles Vignes from 100% Grenache. This release from 1989 is earthy and savoury, packed with black cherries. On the palate, it is a medium-bodied wine, with fully integrated tannins and remarkable depth.
