Raveneau is arguably the finest wine producer in Chablis with a solid reputation across the globe. The Domaine was established by François Raveneau in 1948 and is currently run by cousins Isabelle and Maxime. Raveneau pioneered the use of Côte d`Or winemaking in Chablis, including barrel fermentation and extended lees contact. This release comes from Valmur, a Grand Cru vineyard where Raveneau owns a 0.75-hectare plot. 2010 was a triumphant vintage in Chablis and these wines are very scarce now.
