With 78 hectares of prestigious vineyards across the appellation, Domaine William Fèvre is one of the biggest landowners in Chablis and is often cited as a benchmark for quality and terroir expression. Vinification is very traditional with fermentation and maturation on fine lees undertaken in a combination of stainless and seasoned oak (ave. 6 years old).
The 2013 Chablis 1er Cru Montmains is the result of a cooler vintage and offers up crystalline notes of green apple, citrus peel, white flowers and a tiny hint of smoke. Medium-bodied, crisp and tensile on the palate, it is incisive and focussed, with a long, mineral-tinged finish.
