The Gaja family have owned the Pieve Santa Restituta estate since 1994 from which they produce two single-vineyard Brunello di Montalcino wines, Rennina and Sugarille. The 2013 Sugarille is tighter and more intensely wound than Rennina. Once unfurled it is vibrant and energetic Sangiovese with bright fruit, spice and no shortage of power.
