Bachelet-Monnot is a relatively newcomer in Burgundy. The domaine was established in 2005 by two young brothers, Alex and Marc Bachelet, who cultivate a combination of family-owned and leased vineyards, covering a total of 20 appellations. The 2017 Bourgogne Rouge was fermented in concrete tanks with less than 10% whole bunches and aged in used barrels. This is a light and delicate red Burgundy, with plenty of freshness and precision to the fruit. Drinking well now.
