Bachelet-Monnot was founded in 2005 by brothers Alex and Mark Bachelet and, in a relatively short space of time, they have cemented their reputation as two of Burgundy’s finest talents. Their Bâtard-Montrachet is sourced from 30+ year old vines, fermented with indigenous yeasts in 350-litre and 700-litre barrels, and aged for 12 months in barrel before 6 months in tank prior to release. 2018 was a stunning vintage and this is an incredibly complex yet refined wine that offering a wonderfully concentrated core of fruit, beautiful aromatic nuance, pulsating energy and an exceptionally long, detailed finish.
