Akishika Okarakushi

Akishika Shuzo, established in Osaka prefecture back in 1886, is currently under the leadership of its 6th-generation Kuramoto [brewery owner]. Despite its small size, this brewery has gained recognition for crafting some of Japan`s most distinctive sakes. The Okarakuchi offers a spicy nose with subtle undertones of honeydew melon and lychee. The term `Karakuchi` translates to `dry,` and indeed, the palate of this sake exhibits a mineral-like dryness that is complemented by a lasting, pronounced acidity.
