Domaine Weinbach is undoubtedly one of the top estates in Alsace. First established in 1612 as the Capuchins monastery, owner Catherine Faller`s grandfather bought the estate in 1898 and since then has expanded it from 5 to 30 hectares. Vendages Tardives denotes grapes that have been late harvested, usually several weeks after the official starting date for the harvest, and will be much higher in sugar and ripeness. The wines are always sweet and sometimes will contain some fruit affected by Botrytis rot.
