Established in 1998, Compañía Bodeguera de Valenciso is a partnership between Carmen Enciso and Luis Valentín, formerly of Bodegas Palacios. Valenciso follows the principles of sustainable viticulture, do not use irrigation, and do not fine their wine, which are always consistent. This release is their flagship Rioja from the 2014 vintage, made with 100% Tempranillo and aged for 17 months in French oak. It’s a very polished wine, with elegant aromas and velvety texture.
