Vacqueyras Les Restanques de Cabassole from Roucas Toumba is a wonderfully full-bodied and mellifluous blend of old-vine Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, with the addition of 3% white varieties. It is rich and voluptuous, with abundant notes of black fruits, raspberry, peppery spices and dried wild herbs. There is plenty of youthful appeal here but this will happily age for another 5-8 years.
