This is a 1963 vintage Strathisla single malt, bottled independently by veteran independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail. The whisky has an excellent nose, boasting aromas of figs, plums, dates, spices and then a shoe polish note. The palate reveals a classic example of old sherried Speyside whisky, with hints of raspberries, blackberries and a very faint liquorice note.
